Mypluggg is a website and mobile app that helps people find jobs, sell products, and learn ways to earn online. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, password (stored encrypted), and gender.
- Profile details you add: photo, banner, location, bio, skills, links, and work history.
- Your preferences: interests, preferred regions, and saved jobs and products.
- Content you send or post: messages, photos, voice notes, product listings, and job posts.
- Job applications: your name, email, resume link, and cover message.
- Orders: what you buy, your name, phone number, delivery address, and order history.
- Seller payout details: your bank name, account name, the last four digits of your account number, and your phone number. Your full account number goes to Flutterwave and is not stored by us.
- Reports and blocks: members you block and anything you report.
- Usage data: pages viewed, referring page, browser or device type, and when you were last active.
If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google.
Card and bank payment details are entered with Flutterwave. We do not see or store your full card details.
How we use it
- To run your account and show you relevant jobs, products, and articles.
- To deliver messages and send notifications, including emails about activity on your account.
- To send our newsletter with platform news and tips. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To pass your application to the employer you applied to.
- To take payments, fulfil orders, pay sellers, handle refunds and disputes, and prevent fraud.
- To keep the community safe, review reports, and prevent abuse.
- To understand how the service is used and improve it.
What other people can see
Your public profile, including your name, photo, and the details you add, can be seen by other visitors. Your product listings are public. Messages are only visible to the people in the conversation, though we may review reported content. Your gender and email address are not shown on your public profile.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the service:
- Service providers that host our app, store data, send email, and report technical errors.
- Google, if you choose to sign in with it.
- Employers, when you apply for one of their jobs.
- Flutterwave, which processes payments, refunds, and seller payouts.
- Sellers, who see your order. For products that need delivery, they also see your name, phone number, and delivery address.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your profile, preferences, saved items, cart, payout details, listings, applications, and messages you sent. Reports you filed are kept without your name, so that safety reviews can be completed.
Order and payment records, including the name, phone number, and delivery address on an order, are kept after you delete your account for as long as we need them for accounting, tax, refunds, disputes, and fraud prevention. If you sold a digital product, its file is kept so that buyers can still download what they paid for.
Your choices
- Update your profile at any time in your account.
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link in any edition.
- Block members and report content in the app.
- Delete your account at any time, from the website or from Settings in the app.
- Contact us to ask for a copy of your information or to correct it.
Security
Information is sent over encrypted connections, and access is limited by account. No online service can promise perfect security, so please use a strong, unique password.
Children
Mypluggg is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and let you know about important changes.
